LexArts Weekend

LexArts Weekend LexArts LexArts Weekend

In February 2005, the Lexington Arts and Cultural Council sponsored the first-ever LexArts Weekend, an extravaganza of arts kicking off the organization’s annual fund drive. Spotlighting local artists and programs in Lexington, the weekend included a wide variety of events for the whole family, most of them free. Participants could take a tango class at Victorian Square, visit the Printmakers’ Co-op at ArtsPlace, view contemporary art at the University of Kentucky Art Museum, watch a professional ballet company prepare for an upcoming production, or visit the past at the Hunt-Morgan House to learn and explore the art of paper-cutting.
