Denine LeBlanc, pianist
![]() Dr. Denine LeBlanc (hja01@insightbb.com) is an instructor of piano in the Preparatory Department of the University of Louisville School of Music and the arts and humanities teacher at Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School in Louisville. She frequently acts as accompanist, chamber player, and performer of new music in the surrounding region and has released a CD entitled The Sun Shines Bright. She is also a music historian. At the 1998 Music Teachers National Convention, Denine gave several lectures and presentations based on her research in the Isidore Philipp Archives at U of L. And she has published articles on Philipp in American Music Teacher and Clavier. Denine has received grants from the University of Louisville Womens Center, the Kentucky Foundation for Women, and the Kentucky Arts Council. She is a past president of the Greater Louisville Music Teachers Association and of the Kentucky Music Teachers Association.
