Woodford County Theatrical Arts Association

Beth Kirchner Falling Springs Center scene from Tom Sawyer

The Woodford County Theatrical Arts Association opened its first production in April of 2002 and has produced a full season of shows each year since. Artistic Director Beth Kirchner explains that the all-volunteer organization is committed to enriching the cultural identity of the county. The WCTAA stages at least four theatrical productions each season and offers ongoing arts education opportunities for all ages.

According to Kirchner, one big plus this community theater group has going for it is its home base: a space specifically designed and built for live theater performances at the Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center in Versailles.

Program 727

Part 1 of a multi-part look at “The Future of Classical Music,” featuring piano prodigy Euntaek Kim performing with several groups of young Kentucky musicians, and a behind-the-scenes visit to the Woodford County Theatrical Arts Association in Versailles. (#727)
