This set of three workshops addresses specific issues and concerns of certified and licensed family child care providers. Certified providers care for up to six children in a home setting, while licensed providers care for up to 12 children in a home setting.

Kentucky child care professionals may register to receive credit toward Kentucky licensing requirements for viewing this series and completing the accompanying coursework. (You must have a videotape or DVD copy of the programs.)

Program Descriptions

  1. Space Arrangement—how to arrange your home to meet children’s developmental needs while keeping the feel of a home environment.
  2. Parent Communication—ideas on parental involvement and working as a team with parents. A good relationship between parents and care providers greatly benefits the child.
  3. Curriculum—specifics on how to run a day-care center from your family home.
