These three one-hour programs provide fundamental information for child care providers and parents. The host is Kurt Walker, a former child care operator who now directs the Kentucky Head Start Collaboration Project.

Kentucky child care professionals may register to receive credit toward Kentucky licensing requirements for viewing this series and completing the accompanying coursework. (You must have a videotape or DVD copy of the programs.)

Program Descriptions

  • Working with Infants and Toddlers—health and cleanliness issues in working with infants. Presenter: Diane Strangis, an early childhood specialist with the University of Kentucky Early Childhood Department.
  • Working with 2- to 5-Year-Olds—age-appropriate activities for this age group. Presenter: early childhood specialist Jeanette Nunnelley.
  • Working with Families—advice on working with different family types. Presenter: Sharon Sanders of the Home of the Innocents in Louisville.
