When used properly, television can be beneficial in the classroom as an educational tool. The one-hour training program Ready To Learn helps teachers and caregivers use television effectively through discussion and examples. The program is hosted by Larry Moore, an education consultant for KET; Judy Flavell, KET outreach coordinator; and Susan Lewis of the Fayette County Public Schools. Topics covered include the goals of television in the classroom; selecting appropriate programming; and combining a book, a video clip, and an activity.
