Certain elements of the set, like the billboard, truck, and trailer in the background and the bleachers and animal stands, remained fairly constant throughout the play to maintain a “circus” feeling. But the action of this scene takes place on Wayne Franzen’s farm, where he has been working with some goats in preparation for starting up his circus.
