Everett McCorvey, University of Kentucky Opera Theatre

Everett McCorvey is director of the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre and a voice instructor at UK.

A native of Montgomery, AL, he is the founder and director of the American Spiritual Ensemble, a traveling performance group dedicated to bringing classic American Negro spirituals, along with opera, jazz, and Broadway tunes highlighting the African-American experience, to new audiences. He has been hailed as Kentucky’s most famous opera showman.
