Rev. Kevin W. Cosby, St. Stephen Church, Louisville

The Rev. Kevin W. Cosby is senior pastor of St. Stephen Church in Louisville, recognized by Outreach magazine as one of the top 100 largest churches in America and by Emerge magazine as one of the six “super churches” of the South.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, a master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, and a doctor of ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.

He has held administrative and teaching positions at Kentucky State University, the University of Louisville, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and United Theological Seminary. In 2005, Cosby was chosen as the 13th president of Simmons Bible College (now Simmons College of Kentucky). He has lectured at Harvard and other universities.

Cosby is also the author of several books: Get Off Your But! Messages, Musings & Ministries To Empower the African-American Church, As They Went, Treasure Worth Seeking, and Who’s Your Daddy: Life Lessons from the Prodigal Son.
