Eleanor Jordan of Louisville was named the executive director for the Kentucky Commission on Women by Gov. Steve Beshear in January 2008. She had served in the state House of Representatives 1996-2000 and then was appointed by Gov. Paul Patton as ombudsman for the Cabinet for Families and Children. Most recently she served as principal assistant for Attorney General Greg Stumbo.
