Allison Caban-Holt, University of Kentucky

Allison Caban-Holt is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. Her research focuses on cognition, the behavioral effects of dementia, and detecting dementia through neuropsychological evaluation. She is the UK site investigator for a clinical trial looking at home-based, self-administered assessment methods for identifying cognitive decline in healthy individuals over the age of 75. The trial is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study. An additional focus involves African-American caregivers of dementia patients in Kentucky and their caregiving experiences.
