Msiba Ann Beard Grundy, activist
Msiba Ann Beard Grundy of Lexington is a community activist. A graduate of Berea College, she has been a teacher, counselor, and youth director, a field representative for the Human Rights Commission, and a Vista volunteer in three states. She and her husband, Chester, organized a Day Camp-Study Travel Project that exposes children to important places outside Kentucky. The Grundys are among the founders of Lexington’s Roots and Heritage Festival. She has also been a coordinator of Lexington’s Martin Luther King Jr. holiday celebration.
