Jahi Chikwendiu, photographer
Jahi Chikwendiu is a photographer for the Washington Post. He earnd his undergraduate degree in math and a master’s degree in education from the University of Kentucky. He taught math for a year and freelanced for the Lexington Herald-Leader before being hired there full time. Shortly thereafter he was named 1998 Photographer of the Year by the Kentucky News Photographers’ Association. He joined the Washington Post two years later.
