Lonnie Clinkscale and Hasan Davis (#204)
The first half of the program featuers an interview with Lonnie Clinkscale. He talks about the caring teachers who helped him overcome his learning disabilities, the spiritual journey that enabled him to succeed, and his personal struggle to forgive the hurt and scorn of his father and others who shunned him because of his speech impediment and slow learning.
The second half of the program features an interview with Hasan Davis, a youth and arts advocate, performer, and lawyer. A former gang member, Davis talks about growing up in inner-city Atlanta, gang life, his discovery that he suffered from dyslexia and ADD, and his transformation into an attorney and youth advocate.
