Anne Sleet, Perryville mayor (#210)
Anne Sleet, the mayor of Perryville, talks about the future of the Boyle County town and its 800 people. At age 75, Sleet is one of the oldest persons, black or white, to begin a term as mayor. Elected in 2006, Sleet also discusses her path to public office—and into the history books. She is the first African American to be elected mayor in Boyle County.
