Dr. Adewale Troutman, Louisville Metro Public Health (#322)

Dr. Troutman talks with Renee about his professional accomplishments, which include the passage of a smoke-free ordinance for restaurants and workplaces throughout Louisville; the establishment of the Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Movement, a community-wide effort to encourage citizens to engage in more physical activity and adopt healthier lifestyles; the implementation of the Take Charge Challenge, a worksite wellness program; and the establishment of an office of Public Health and Emergency Preparedness at the Louisville Metro Health Department.

Troutman was featured in the PBS series Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making Us Sick? and also on a special Connections that accompanied the national program.
