Bill Farmer Jr., United Way of the Bluegrass (#517)

Bill Farmer became CEO of the local United Way in October 2009. Before coming to Lexington to lead the local United Way, he was president and CEO of the Farmer Group, a consulting firm in Charlotte, N.C., and spent 28 years as an executive with Time Warner Cable. He has led community United Way efforts in fundraising, marketing, and other public policy work.

In 2009, United Way of the Bluegrass raised nearly $7 million to support programs at nearly 100 agencies in Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Madison, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties.
