Donna LJ Murphy (#536)
Donna LJ Murphy was a star basketball player at Newport High School. According to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame, her athletic prowess helped give girls basketball its rightful place alongside the boys competition. Murphy went on to become an All-American at Morehead State University and played professionally in the old Women's Basketball League. She has almost 20 years of collegiate coaching experience as an assistant, and she served as head coach at Asbury College.
