Dewey M. Clayton, author (#603)
Dewey M. Clayton's research interests include congressional redistricting; African American politics; and race, law, and politics. He has been honored by the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission for promoting positive human relations and by Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson for distinguished service in the public interest.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, his master's degree from North Carolina Central University, and his doctorate in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995. He has been teaching at the University of Louisville since 1994.
