Boosting African American Enrollment in Higher Education (#622)

Michael McCall, president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, discusses the first-ever Super Sunday event, scheduled on Feb. 27 at African-American churches statewide. On this day, KCTCS and each of its 16 colleges will partner with community churches to host college information fairs for prospective college students and their families. In the future, the Super Sunday program will be expanded to target students from other racial and ethnic groups, such as the emerging Latino population, as well as more church partners.

In second segment of the program, Michael Morgan, student financial aid program administrator for the KCTCS, discusses options for financing a college education and the resources available to help.

More information on Super Sunday can be found at the KCTCS website.
