Bianca Spriggs (#816)
"The Thirteen" pays homage to the victims of lynching with photographs and video by Angel Clark as well as pieces by Bianca Spriggs, including original poetry, pen and ink drawings, and resin skulls. The exhibit runs January 16 through February 15 in Lexington at Transylvania University's Morlan Gallery.
Also featured at Transylvania is a special production of "The Thirteen," featuring performances by an ensemble of 12 Kentucky musicians and vocalists paired with spoken word poetry by Spriggs. The production will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, in the Carrick Theater, located in the Mitchell Fine Arts Center at Transylvania University. The event is free and open to the public.
