Prizes and Judging
KET photographer Steve Shaffer along with KET producers and staff will judge the entries and select the winners. The first-place winner will receive a $150 gift code for mpix.com, and the winning photo will be featured in Visions, KET’s monthly member magazine. The second place winner will receive a $100 mpix.com gift code, and the third place winner will receive a $50 mpix.com gift code.
Contest Rules
- You must be at least 13 years of age.
- You must live in the KET viewing area. (Entry is limited to those who are in the KET coverage area)
- You must be the creator of any image you submit, and you must not submit any image for which the copyright is held by another party.
- Contest entry is limited to three photos per person, and only photos of Kentucky.
- Regardless of any license settings on your photo, you give permission to KET to publish the submitted image, your first name and your location on the KET Web site in perpetuity.
- Employees of KET and their families are not eligible to participate.
- If your photo is selected as a winner, you agree to be contacted through Flickr mail. If you are contacted by the contest administrator, you agree to respond within 72 hours. If you fail to respond within 72 hours of being contacted, your photo will be disqualified.
In addition to the above, you agree to abide by all Flickr site guidelines
Editor's Note -- If your photos are not showing up on Flickr when you search for them, you may need to upload more photos to your photostream. Here's what Flickr says:
- If your account is new, first you need to upload at least 5 photos.
- After that minimum has been reached, then it shouldn't take more than a few days until your photos appear in searches, groups, etc.
- Also, make sure your photos show in searches by adding accurate tags and descriptions.
