KET and Your School:
Resources To Promote
KET offers a wealth of resources to enhance instruction and help Kentucky schools achieve proficiency. And we rely on KET School Resource Coordinators to help spread the word and get those resources into the hands of teachers and students. In addition to the instructional programs aired on KET ED, you may want to promote and use the following KET resources in your school:
- KET EncycloMedia—a comprehensive online collection of video clips, photos and other graphics, lesson plans, and other multimedia resources
- KET Arts Toolkits—an award-winning series of classroom multimedia kits for teaching or integrating the arts
- KET Electronic Field Trips—content-rich field trips to a wide variety of Kentucky sites, correlated to Kentucky academic standards across the curriculum, with companion web sites
- KET Distance Learning—high school classes in foreign languages, physics, and the humanities on tape or DVD, supported by e-mail and telephone interaction with teachers and tutors and extensive web resources
- KET Professional Development resources for teachers and staff
- KET digital television services, including datacasting and multi-channel broadcasting that brings you everything from PBS programs to live Kentucky General Assembly coverage
- Classroom e-News—KET’s e-mail update service for educators
- e-Views—a weekly e-mail round-up of general-interest program highlights and KET news
