Student Perspectives on the Role of Parent Involvement in Academic Achievement

Submitted by: Youth Voices group: Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence

Ross Boggess, a rising high school senior and member of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence's Student Voice Team, asked three high-achieving Central Kentucky students to describe the impact of their parents on their academic success. This piece was featured in a presentation the Student Voice Team made at the June 9, 2013 Prichard Committee spring meeting at General Butler State Park in Northern Kentucky. The students did this as part of their case to ensure more student integration in the Committee's education policy work. Notes
