| Attention Kentucky schools! Send us sample videos by March 31, 2004 for a TV program on what students are creating! Teachers sending in tapes will automatically be entered in a raffle of two free one-year subscriptions to Computer Videomaker magazine! Results will be announced on this page, on the MediaWorks listserv and the Library Media Specialist listserv, and by e-mail to the winners. So send us tapes and you may win a fine magazine resource for your school! |
Format: VHS, S-VHS, or mini-DV. Note: If you’d like to send your video in another format, please contact Jeff Gray, (800) 432-0951, ext. 7263 or . We prefer videotapes, but other media may be submitted as long as they are transferable to video at standard television screen size. Some media and formats are difficult to transfer to what we need to edit from, so please contact Jeff first before sending something we can’t use. Any length: We’ll edit examples for a program to be aired on Star Channel 703/KET3 toward the end of the 2003/04 school year. Any topic: school news program, commercial, public service announcement, music video, art video, special event coverage, documentary, classroom demonstration, special performance ... it’s up to you. Participants will be notified of air dates by letter. We’ll also notify school librarians via the KET Star Channels Calendar. Tapes will not be returned. Please send original or highest-speed (SP) VHS or S-VHS duplicate, as tapes recorded at LP and SLP recording speed make degraded copies. Mini-DV tapes are best. Note: Please send up to three tapes, with a total of up to six videos per school. We have a limited amount of time to include video examples and hate to leave anyone out, so just send us your best stuff!
