Primary 2003: Candidate Forums
During April and May 2003, KET produced a series of 11 candidate forums in contested party primaries for Kentucky governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, commissioner of agriculture, and auditor of public accounts. All candidates whose names appeared on the ballot were invited to participate.
Bill Goodman, host of KETs Kentucky Tonight, moderates the forums. In each program, two journalists ask questions of the candidates. Candidates also are given an opportunity to ask questions of one another.
Businessman Bruce Lunsford participated in both of our forums for Democratic gubernatorial candidates before withdrawing from the race on May 16. His running mate was Barbara Edelman.
The other governor/lieutenant governor slates:
(R) Fletcher/Pence
(R) Jackson/Rudolph
(R) Moore/Bell
(R) Nunn/Heleringer |
(D) Chandler/Owen
(D) Hensley/Robbins
