Primary 2006: The Vote
On Primary Election Day, May 16, Bill Goodman and Renee Shaw anchored Primary 2006: The Vote, a full hour of returns and analysis. They were joined in the studio by political observers John McGarvey and John David Dyche. In addition, journalists from around the state reported on races in their areas.
The 2006 primary kicked off a busy election year in Kentucky, with congressional races, state legislative contests, and a wide variety of local races combining to create one of the longest ballots in the state’s history. Primary 2006: The Vote includes reports and discussions on key contests at each level.
KETs primary coverage was produced by Deidre Clark and directed by Nick Helton. Mike Brower was executive producer.
We began our Election 2006 coverage with a series of candidate forums in the four contested congressional primaries. Those forums are also available for viewing online.
