The 2007 gubernatorial race in Kentucky began with contested primaries in both the Republican and Democratic parties. In addition, primary voters chose candidates for five other constitutional offices: secretary of state, attorney general, commissioner of agriculture, treasurer, and auditor of public accounts.

On Primary Election Day, May 22, Bill Goodman and Renee Shaw co-hosted Primary 2007: The Vote, a full evening of live returns and analysis. They were joined by in-studio commentators Al Cross, John David Dyche, and John McGarvey, plus reporters from locations around the state. The program also includes video reports from several candidates’ headquarters and newsrooms in Louisville and Lexington. Specific topics include the following:
