This four-part video series presents a detailed review of important concepts in middle school life science related to the skeletal system, the muscular system, circulation, respiration, digestion, excretion, the endocrine system, and the nervous system. Each program ends with a 15-question Video Review and is accompanied by a teacher-friendly guide containing numerous student activities and assessment tools, all closely aligned to the video and to national and state standards.
Important terms covered in the series include tissue, marrow, cartilage, muscle, periosteum, compact bone, immovable joints, vertebrae, blood vessel, artery, vein, aorta, capillaries, blood pressure, plasma, platelet, lungs, peristalsis, small and large intestines, kidneys, stomach, ingestion, digestion, neuron, stimuli, response, effector, synapse, hormone, and adrenal glands.
