Teaching Geometry Using Models and Formulas
Geometry often requires the use of visualization skills. Students need to first be familiar with basic geometric shapes and names before they can apply the correct geometric formulas. Even though they are provided with a formulas page for the GED Math Test, students have to learn to read a problem and decide which formula to use. In other words, they need to understand when formulas for perimeter, area, volume are used.
