Overview of the GED Tests
For many adults who have not had the opportunity to earn their high school diploma, a GED certificate is an important goal. The current GED® Tests, released in 2002, are designed to measure the major lasting skills and concepts associated with four years of regular high school instruction. Although the GED Tests reflect major academic outcomes of a four-year program of study, the GED Tests also emphasize skills and knowledge associated with the workplace, the community, and higher education.
