This primary health series is designed to help students discover their emotions and feelings. A cast of continuing characters provides positive reinforcement by serving as role models in contemporary situations. Four categories of skills — decision making, communication, stress management, and goal setting — are developed throughout the programs. Each program also emphasizes basic knowledge of human emotions and their universality.

2009/10 KETKY Program Schedule

101. I Don't Get It
Theme: confusion. The characters decide whether to participate in a gang-related activity.
102. That's Me!
Theme: pride. Competition arises between siblings.
103. I'll Decide
Theme: independence. The characters decide about products advertised on TV.
104. Sticks and Stones
Theme: embarrassment. Students cope with ridicule at school.
105. Oh, Yeah?
Theme: anger. Even friends disagree sometimes!
106. Now What Do I Do?
Theme: frustration. The characters try to resolve misunderstandings with parents.
107. Alone in a Crowd
Theme: loneliness. Moving to a new town or school makes the "new kid" feel isolated.
108. A Helping Hand
Theme: caring. The students learn about the satisfaction of helping others.
109. In Harm's Way
Theme: fear. Bullies and name calling inspire fear.
110. Learning To Say 'No'
Theme: stress. The kids learn what it feels like to be pressured—and how to say "no" in spite of it.
111. Saying Goodbye
Theme: love. Characters cope with the deaths of pets and loved ones.
112. Will He or Won't He?
Theme: distrust. Characters must deal with family violence.
113. Changes
Theme: sadness. Parents' divorces lead to feelings of sadness.
114. Worrywart
Theme: worry. The students must make a difficult decision about a health-related behavior.
115. I Know I Can
Theme: determination. Perseverance helps the students identify and accomplish a big task.
