The primary goal of this science and natural history series is to excite children about investigating the natural world by exposing them to scientific practices in a positive way. The programs help children see themselves as scientists who can go outside and learn directly from the world around them.

These colorful insects go through a remarkable process called metamorphosis, from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. Each step in the process has its own unique properties. 29 minutes.

Like us, animals often use colors to send messages. 24 minutes.

106. Dinner
Each animal has the right kinds of tools to gather and eat its favorite foods. 26 minutes.

107. Dinosaurs
We can learn what dinosaurs looked like and how they lived by piecing together dinosaur fossils. We also learn more about them by observing the characteristics and behaviors of some animals alive today. 29 minutes.

108. Homes
Animals are incredible architects. They make or find all the materials they need to create homes that are right for them. 27 minutes.

109. Paper
Paper has a multitude of properties, forms, and uses. Although most often made from wood, it can also be made from a variety of other materials. 28 minutes.

110. Rocks and Minerals
Rocks and minerals come in a wide array of colors, textures, sizes, and shapes. 28 minutes.

111. Trees
A tree is a busy place. It's a living, growing plant and a home and habitat for many different animals. 28 minutes.

112. Water
Water in its three different states is present everywhere on Earth. All living things need water to survive. 28 minutes.

113. Working Together
Some animals, such as bees, ants, and termites, work together to maintain a viable, adaptable society. 28 minutes.
