Kentucky’s Natural Heritage is a series of programs examining unique environments with a wide range of biological and geological characteristics, including virgin forest, naturally carved sandstone arches, cascading waterfalls, and cypress swamplands.

A KET production crew traveled from Lilley Cornett Woods in Letcher County in southeastern Kentucky to Murphy’s Pond at the western end of the state, making forays into the Red River Gorge area and the watershed of Cumberland Falls in between. Viewers will realize that each of the environments offers its own distinctive natural features.
