This series uses students’ natural fascination with thunder and lightning, tornadoes, and winter storms to bring science concepts to life. Using dramatic footage from the U.S. and the world, the series explores the forces that shape Earth’s weather and climate: global climatic events like El Niño and La Niña; the sun and seasons; radiation, convection, and conduction; the differential heating and cooling of land and ocean; terrain and topography; pressure and altitude; and the greenhouse effect.
