This series describes and illustrates the many and varied uses and forms of maps, including software programs and Internet sites. Information is included about the Global Positioning System. Maps include weather maps, marine maps, tourist maps, and maps for pilots with flight plans.

101. Globes and Their Use
Key terms associated with globes, such as equator, Prime Meridian, axis, hemispheres, latitude, longitude, compass rose, time zones, and scale model, and demonstrations of calculating the distances between locations on the globe.
102. Maps and Their Use
Describes and illustrates the many and varied uses of maps and presents information about the Global Positioning System (GPS).
103. Using Graphs
Discusses and illustrates the four main types of graphs: the line graph, the bar graph, the circle or pie graph, and the pictograph.
104. Using Tables, Charts, and Diagrams
Using visual tools to organize data, represent information, organize thinking, and illustrate the workings of processes or the internal workings of machinery.
