Position Details/Eligibility

This unpaid internship is available year-round. One intern is needed each semester. Junior-, senior-, and graduate-level students attending any Kentucky college or university and Kentucky residents attending a college or university out of state may apply.

10 hours per week (approximately 150 hours per semester) are required, although special arrangements may be made when school requirements differ.


The intern will assist the Post-Secondary Education Manager in converting one or more college courses into Blackboard online courses for use by future instructors. This task will require taking existing documents and links from course producers and importing or converting them into a usable product, as well as creating and adding new documents and links as needed to make the course(s) as complete as possible.

Special Skills

The successful applicant must be well-versed in HTML and using the World Wide Web, should be familiar with general computer programs, and must know how to download and “unzip” computer files. Ability to edit HTML in a text editor is very desirable.

The intern will need to be very organized and enjoy paying a lot of attention to detail.
