Position Details/Eligibility
This unpaid internship is available year-round. One intern is needed each semester. Junior-, senior-, and graduate-level students attending any Kentucky college or university and Kentucky residents attending a college or university out of state may apply.
10 hours per week (approximately 150 hours per semester) are required, although special arrangements may be made when school requirements differ.
Each applicant for this internship must submit a writing sample that demonstrates the ability to write well for the intended audience, quality of research, and creativity. Samples must be short—three pages maximum.
Duties
The intern will perform various marketing and promotion-related duties in the KET Enterprise Sales and Marketing Department. Specific tasks will include making follow-up calls to educational organizations that have requested and received preview packages of KET adult education materials and to educational organizations that have purchased from KET recently or in the past.
Additional responsibilities may include setting up a database to track the effectiveness of our product preview packages. The intern will also help with other projects as assigned.
Special Skills Required
Applicants must be articulate and have good oral and written communication skills. Must know Microsoft Word. Some Internet and database knowledge will be required.
