Homer Ledford and Cabin Creek
Homer Ledfords fame as a bluegrass artist is eclipsed only by his reputation as a crafter of fine instruments. Dulcimers, guitars, mandolins, fiddles, and stringed instruments that defy description all bear Homers mark.
In addition to Ledford on mandolin and Rollie Carpenter, Cabin Creek includes L.C. Johnson on guitar, Pam Case on bass, and Marvin Carroll on fiddle. Ledford explains that the band, formed in 1976, has been strongly influenced by the music of Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, and Don Reno and Red Smiley.
This artist appears in Jubilee #312: Homer Ledford and Cabin Creek/Carr and Hammond/Thunder and the Hosscats.
