The Hart Brothers

The Hart Brothers Band was formed in 1979 by Myron (Pete) Hart, Heamon (Tib) Hart, and Arman (Sam) Hart. The three siblings remained the nucleus of the band until Sam passed away unexpectedly in 1983. Throughout that time, they played mainly at local functions in southeastern Ohio and northcentral West Virginia.

In the years before and since Sam’s death, several other musicians have played in the band and contributed to the group’s unique style of “modern traditional bluegrass.”

The lineup seen on Jubilee consists of Pete on mandolin, Tib on banjo, Rick Westerman on bass, and newest member John Keith on guitar. All of the band members work full-time jobs during the week. They play about 30-35 weekends a year throughout the upper Midwest (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Kentucky).

The Hart Brothers have five recordings to their credit.
