The Bluegrass Thoroughbreds

The Bluegrass Thoroughbreds are from Winchester, KY. Formed in 1976, the four-member band includes James Malicote on guitar, Marcie Malicote on bass, Bobby Maynard on banjo, and Elmer Burchett on mandolin. James is also chief songwriter, composing approximately two-thirds of the songs the Thoroughbreds perform.

The band has released 11 recordings, including three all-gospel albums.
