Mountain Heart

Mountain Heart came together in 1999 and was named Emerging Artist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association even before releasing an album. Fans attribute such quick success to the band members’ ability to fuse their talents into an exciting bluegrass-gospel blend.

Those members, an impressive lineup of young, new-generation pickers, are Steve Gulley of Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver fame, Barry Abernathy, Jim Van Cleeve, Jason Moore, and Adam Steffey. Steffey received the 2002 IBMA award for Mandolin Player of the Year.
