Vance Gilbert

Vance Gilbert burst onto the singer/songwriter scene in the early ’90s when a buzz started spreading in the folk clubs of Boston about an ex-jazz singer who was knocking ’em dead at open-mike nights. The word of this Philadelphia-born and -raised performer spread to New York, where Shawn Colvin invited him to come along as special guest on her Fat City tour. Gilbert proceeded to take audiences across the country by storm.

Gilbert has five albums to his credit: Edgewise (1994), Fugitives (1995), Shaking Off Gravity (1998), Somerville Live (2000), and One Thru Fourteen (2002).

This artist appears in Jubilee #405: Vance Gilbert/The Kennedys.
