Dismembered Tennesseans

The Dismembered Tennesseans claim to have made their mark singing “country music for people who do not particularly like country music.” Formed in Chattanooga, the group has been performing its unique brand of bluegrass music since 1945, playing venues all over the country as well as countless conventions and charity events back home.

The lineup seen on Jubilee includes Fletcher Bright, who plays fiddle and pilots the group’s airplane; Ed Cullis, the banjo-playing orthodontist (now retired); Laura Walker; Bobby Martin; Don Cassell; George Bright; and Ansley Moses. The performance spotlights tunes from a recent CD titled Live at the Laurel.

This artist appears in Jubilee #1116: Stringtown/Dismembered Tennesseans.
