This Jubilee doubleheader leads off with Kentucky’s own Northfork, then follows with the Grammy-winning Nashville Bluegrass Band, considered by many to be America’s premier bluegrass group.

Northfork features Kenneth Witt on banjo and bass vocals, Donnie Stevens on mandolin and tenor vocals, Brad Stevens on bass and lead vocals, and Johnny Browning on guitar and vocals. Their performance was recorded at the Osborne Brothers Hometown Festival in the band’s own hometown of Hyden, KY.

Up next is the Nashville Bluegrass Band, whose releases Waitin’ for the Hard Times To Go (1994) and Unleashed (1996) have earned Grammys. Recorded at the Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, KY, the band includes Pat Enright (guitar), Alan O’Bryant (banjo), Stuart Duncan (fiddle and mandolin), Roland White (mandolin), and Gene Libbea (acoustic bass).

Named Vocal Group of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association four years in a row, the Nashville Bluegrass Band has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry.
