Carrying on the tradition of founder Carl Story, his Ramblin’ Mountaineers continue to delight audiences with their signature bluegrass gospel sound. This edition of Jubilee presents them on a double bill with the harmonious sounds of the Sullivan Family.

Carl Story founded the Ramblin’ Mountaineers in the 1930s. The group’s recordings on the Mercury and Columbia labels are legendary, and Story’s own contributions to country and bluegrass music are voluminous. Tater Tate and the Brewster Brothers are among the bluegrass stars who first made names for themselves as Mountaineers. Story, who also played fiddle with the one and only Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys, passed away in 1995, but his legacy continues through the music of the Ramblin’ Mountaineers.
