Members of the next generation of bluegrass pickers take the torch and run with it as Jubilee presents performances by the Wildwood Valley Boys and Kentucky Blue.

The Wildwood Valley Boys’ traditional bluegrass sound can only be described as a pickers’ delight. Descended from members of the Boys from Indiana and the Traditional Grass, the musicians who make up the Wildwood Valley Boys are, quite literally, the sons of bluegrass’ second generation. For this set, they play traditional covers as well as songs from their debut CD on Rebel Records, When I Get Back to Georgia.

Also appearing on this episode of Jubilee is Kentucky Blue. While touring extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, Kentucky Blue has become a crowd favorite thanks to a unique blend of traditional and contemporary bluegrass mixed with a bit of magic and comedy. The group also has several successful recording projects to its credit.

Both acts were taped at the 1999 Festival of the Bluegrass at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
