Fronting his own band, the Wolf Gang, former Howlin’ Wolf sideman Eddie Shaw cranks out an impressive and explosive set of blues.

Shaw made a name for himself with a gritty sax tone that perfectly suited the raspy vocals of the Wolf. He has played with such legendary performers as Muddy Waters, Magic Sam, and Otis Rush, and his confidence and dues-paid-in-full ability fuel an electric evening of blues whenever he steps to the front of the stage.

The Wolf Gang—which also features another former Howlin’ Wolf band member, bass player Shorty Gilbert—was nominated for W.C. Handy Awards in 1999, 2000, and 2001. The band’s recordings include two live albums, Papa Told Me and Live at the Time Out Pub.
