With kazoos, washboards, and of course jugs in tow, the Juggernaut Jug Band takes the Jubilee stage to share a fun-loving musical mélange.

Hailing from Louisville, the birthplace of jug music—popular in Mississippi and Ohio river cities during the early 20th century—the quartet mixes musical virtuosity and zany showmanship in a style that has made it an institution within the jug band genre. Members Roscoe Goose, the Amazing Mr. Fish, Big Daddy T, and World Wide Webb carry on the proud tradition of jug music, drawing from its roots in blues, country, ragtime, jazz, and swing.

The Mountain Express (Asheville, NC) lauded the Juggernaut Jug Band’s music as “bespeak[ing] a literal fusion of two worlds—a folky organic vibe tempered by the delicacy of academically trained musicianship.” The Louisville Courier-Journal applauded the group’s “street band energy ... swinging arrangements ... sparkling musicianship ... [and] wacko sense of humor.”
