Since launching their blues career in Cincinnati, Jim Diamond and his band, the Groove Syndicate, have gone on to make international blues waves. Past host of numerous blues jams in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, Jim Diamond pulls from a wide array of influences in crafting his music. The Groove Syndicate’s sound is a mix of swing, traditional blues, and the rocking Texas variety. The band’s live shows are always powerful, slick, and surprising, fully engaging listeners by taking them on an excursion through the many faces of the blues.

This Jubilee performance was taped at the 2000 W.C. Handy Blues Festival in Henderson, KY. It draws on material from the Groove Syndicate’s first two recordings, 1997’s Angel Child and 1999’s Somewhere Somehow.
